Merry Berry Workshops

Every year as Summer changes to Autumn we hold the Merry Berry series of workshops. They are aimed at complete novices and we can provide everything for you so you arrive as an enthusiastic family and depart with your first batch of whatever it is we are making, all the knowledge required to do it again and if there are consumable items we include those in the price and any jars, bottles, fermenters and other bits and pieces can be kept for future years experiments in your own merry berry foraging. Some workshops are simple turn up, pay and play.

Your child and their friends can come and have exiting outdoor fun, for 3 hours, whatever the weather, in our private, 20 acre woodland. All parties are lead in an age appropriate manner by fully qualified and insured staff, all of whom hold enhanced DBS clearance and who teach Forest School and Bushcraft in schools and other youth organisations daily. Fire making, exploring the various animal tracks, cooking and shelter building are common across all ages with age appropriate additions as children get older. Over 200 photographs will be taken for you to share with the parents of your child’s guests. We have held parties in this woodland since it was planted in 2007 and many return customers have grown up with the woodland and the memories taken home from their visits.

Holiday Activities

Every school holiday we open our woodland to provide the following activities for families, unaccompanied children and adults. We have Woodentots for parents / grandparents and preschool children, base camp for unaccompanied children aged 8 to 14, family sessions for those who are too old for Woodentots but not sure about unaccompanied sessions and who want a bit of a different family activity, adult only evening sessions, family camps and unaccompanied children's camps and pop up sessions that cover anything and everything not listed.
